Women & Girls' Education
Local ProjectAccess to high-quality, universal education is a fundamental human right for all, yet is denied to many women and girls. Education is a cornerstone of gender equality and can lead to more working options, better individual and household health and increased overall well-being. Today, 129 million girls are out of school worldwide. Education enables women and girls to become active community members, decision-makers, and leaders who are involved in all spheres of life. Increasing education on climate change, in particular, helps them to take part in climate action work, economic development efforts and the creation of low-carbon technologies.
